Those Imposed On Punjab Came To Power On Establishment’s Shoulders, Having No Concern For The Public: Junaid Akbar

That is why they are enjoying themselves on state resources, while a genuinely elected government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa protects public resources, said the PTI MNA.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Sep, 2026) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President and Member of the National Assembly Junaid Akbar Khan strongly criticized the Punjab government and the country’s political situation, saying that those imposed on Punjab came to power on the establishment’s shoulders.

He said they therefore had no concern for the public and were enjoying themselves on state resources. In contrast, he said, a genuinely elected government was in place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where there was no extravagance and public resources were being protected.

Speaking with anchorperson Asma Chaudhry, he said he had met Imran Khan four times during his incarceration and was astonished each time to see his high morale and rock-solid resolve.

Despite enduring the hardships and difficulties of the toughest prison conditions, Imran Khan would reassure leaders visiting him from outside and instruct them to stand firm against oppression and fascism.

He would say that this system of injustice and oppression could not continue for long and that the rule of law would soon be established in the country, God willing.

The PTI leader further said that the real source of pain for the rulers and opponents was that, despite such oppression and difficult circumstances, they had completely failed to break Imran Khan’s spirit and resolve.

He said every word and statement made by Imran Khan in prison was recorded. During a meeting, Imran Khan had told him that he was grateful to Allah Almighty for giving him the opportunity to learn and understand much during his period of solitary confinement—something that might not have been possible outside prison.

He spent the entire day reviewing his past mistakes so that he would not repeat them if he returned to power in the future.
