Workers are being beaten and harassed in their homes, and those responsible for every act of oppression against PTI workers will be held accountable before God, says the PTI leader.
Speaking on a private television programme, she said the fear of PTI had so deeply affected the government that every limit of oppression was being crossed in Punjab. “I am surprised that police entered Mian Mahmoodur Rashid’s house.
Perhaps the crime is that Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is visiting his home and there is a reception there; perhaps this has now become a crime in Punjab,” she said. She added that Punjab Police entered his house in such a manner even though his wife observes purdah, and male officials were entering homes and harassing veiled women.
“Even three-hundred-year sentences for Mian Mahmoodur Rashid were not enough. Yet they are still not satisfied,” she said. Qureshi alleged that the Punjab government was beating and harassing people because of its fear, adding that fascism had been unleashed in Punjab.
She said the government would have to answer before God for every act of oppression against PTI workers.
