PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Sep, 2026) All security arrangements and attendee facilities for Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) have been finalised ahead of Sunday‘s exam.
Chairing a review meeting on Saturday, Commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud received a detailed briefing regarding logistics, traffic management, and security measures.
These arrangements have been drawn up to facilitate a total of 16,502 candidates, including 8,226 female students, taking part in the MDCAT test.
To ensure smooth proceedings and maintain absolute transparency, strict preventive measures have been put in place across all 19 examination centres.
The sale and purchase of pocket guides have been banned, with authorities having already confiscated material and penalised non compliant vendors.
Section 144 has also been imposed to prevent unauthorized crowds from gathering near exam premises.
Security will be reinforced with walk-through gates and mixed-gender police deployments, whilst PESCO officials have guaranteed an uninterrupted power supply for duration of test.
Special monitoring teams led by Assistant Commissioners have been tasked with overseeing centre management and anti cheating protocols.
To prevent traffic gridlock, candidates and parents have been advised to use public transport, with TransPeshawar having arranged extra buses to keep traffic moving smoothly.
Commissioner Mehsud directed all officers to fulfill their duties with care, reiterating that no uniformed personnel will be permitted inside test halls, thereby ensuring a calm and reassuring atmosphere for all students.
