ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Sep, 2026) National Language Promotion Department (NLPD), in collaboration with the United Humanitarian Organization (UHO), has hosted a one-day conference titled “Pasban-e-Aman-o-Insaniyat,” focusing on the promotion of peace, humanity, tolerance, mutual respect, brotherhood and social harmony in society.
Addressing the conference, UHO Founder Dr Diya Chaudhry termed the promotion of peace and humanity a pressing need of the time. She said fostering tolerance, mutual respect, compassion and the spirit of serving humanity was essential for building a peaceful society.
She said the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) provided practical guidance on peace, mercy, tolerance and service to humanity, adding that its teachings could help bring about positive change in society.
She also emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and cooperation among different segments of society.
Sahibzada Zulfiqar Ali, Chairman of the Ulema and Mashaikh Council/Committee of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), participated in the conference as the chief guest.
In his address, he described peace, brotherhood, tolerance and service to humanity as fundamental requirements of society. He said the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) provided a shining example of respect for humanity, fraternity, tolerance, peace and security.
He stressed that promoting mutual respect, tolerance and constructive dialogue among different segments of society was essential for establishing lasting peace.
Other speakers also highlighted various aspects of peace and humanity, social responsibility, service to humanity and social harmony. They observed that the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) conveyed a comprehensive message of humanity, mercy, justice, tolerance, brotherhood and peace, said a press release receive here on Saturday.
They emphasized that incorporating these teachings into individual and collective life was important for promoting peace and humanity in contemporary society.
Sardar Fozzaib Khan, Sardar Shakoor, Farzana Kausar, Uzma Fakhar, Professor Muhammad Ali Qadir, Muhammad Haider Alvi and Dr. Shehbaz Ali Abbasi, along with other distinguished guests and participants from Pakistan and abroad, attended the conference via online video link.
At the conclusion, the participants expressed their commitment to promoting peace, humanity, tolerance, brotherhood, mutual respect and the spirit of serving humanity in society.
