WAH CANTT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Sep, 2026) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Asia Naz Tanoli on Saturday inspected the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Special Petrol Relief Scheme at a petrol station here, where she reviewed the arrangements for registration, token verification and disbursement of the subsidy to eligible consumers.
During her visit, Asia was briefed on the mechanism for extending the relief and the difficulties being encountered by citizens seeking to avail themselves of the facility.
She also examined arrangements for guiding consumers through the registration and token-verification process.
Under the scheme, eligible motorcycles, rickshaws, Qingqi and other qualifying two- and three-wheelers are entitled to a subsidy on up to 20 litres of petrol per month, while eligible vehicles up to 800cc can receive relief on up to 30 litres. The subsidy is being provided at Rs100 per litre.
Officials said eligible citizens could register by sending the required information through SMS to 9771. Consumers can also send “TOK” to the same number to obtain details of their petrol relief token before purchasing fuel, which is subsequently verified at the filling station.
The MNA stressed the need for clear and accessible information for consumers and directed the relevant staff to facilitate eligible citizens and address procedural difficulties without unnecessary delays.
The visit also brought into focus the importance of effective coordination between departments and petrol stations, particularly at the point of registration and digital verification, where any procedural confusion could prevent eligible consumers from receiving the intended relief.
