According to ARY news, a police officer forcibly stopped a rickshaw in the middle of a busy road in Karachi and began speaking to a girl travelling inside it.
The viral video clearly shows the officer stopping the rickshaw and engaging in unrelated conversation, while allegedly offering friendship to the girl.
As soon as the rickshaw stopped, another girl inside it turned on her mobile phone camera and recorded the officer’s allegedly inappropriate conversation and actions on the spot.
The police officer seen in the viral video is reportedly posted at Aziz Bhatti Police Station.
After the video emerged on social media, strong anger spread among citizens, and the issue became a focus of public and journalistic attention. Citizens have urged the authorities to take immediate notice of the alleged police misconduct and harassment of women and initiate strict disciplinary and legal action against the officer.
