Federal Investment Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh says chief ministers are misusing the 18th Amendment, with the same situation unfolding in Sindh as in Punjab.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Sep, 2026) Federal Investment Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh voiced a series of complaints while speaking to journalists. Sheikh said he had been asking Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to listen to him, but the premier was very busy.
He said every political party has a group of bureaucrats and that the 18th Amendment is being misused. The federal minister said chief ministers are misusing the 18th Amendment, adding that the same thing is happening in Sindh as in Punjab.
He said Karachi is the economic hub but does not have a corresponding position in politics, adding that the city should be given political importance.
