ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Sep, 2026) The Vice Chancellor (VC) of the Federal urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), Professor Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari, will speak at an international webinar on the ethics of science, innovation and technology.
This is the second part of the Webinar Series on Science, Ethics and Innovation, organized by the UNESCO Office in Pakistan. Prof Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari will join other international experts in the webinar.
The session will focus on the ethical issues linked with science, technology and innovation.
The webinar is being held under the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development 2024–2033.
Prof Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari is an internationally recognized scientist and researcher in biotechnology and biological sciences. He is a 2015 UNESCO Avicenna prize laureate for Ethics in Science.
He has also received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and Sitara-e-Imtiaz from the President of Pakistan for his scientific and research contributions.
The webinar under the umbrella of UNESCO will be held on October 7.
