The Afghan Taliban spokesperson welcomed efforts by Saudi Arabia and other countries to help resolve disputes between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
KABUL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Sep, 2026) Afghan Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid has said that Afghanistan wants to continue dialogue and cooperation with Pakistan and respects Saudi Arabia’s decisions and mediation efforts.
In an interview with an Arab broadcaster, Mujahid said Afghanistan welcomed the efforts of Saudi Arabia and all other countries to resolve disputes between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
He said Afghanistan expected Saudi Arabia to play its role as a friend of both countries and added that Riyadh could play a positive role in the matter.
Mujahid said the Afghan people also have great love and respect for Saudi Arabia and the two holy mosques.
The Afghan Taliban spokesperson expressed hope that Saudi authorities would continue their mediation efforts effectively and help resolve the issues between the two countries.
