Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said every word of the ‘fake chief minister of the largest province’s’ statement had reopened their wounds, vowing to foil every such conspiracy.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Sep, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi said the province was on the frontline in the fight against terrorism and that peace in the other provinces was due to its sacrifices.
In an important video message following the blast and terrorist attack at Kohat Old Police Lines, he said a suicide attack had taken place in Kohat in which police personnel and civilians had been martyred.
The provincial government strongly condemned the terrorist attack and prayed for the elevated ranks of the martyrs.
“We once again convey a message to the entire country, especially those who call the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa terrorists, that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have offered more than 80,000 lives for Pakistan.
Only then did peace come to Pakistan,” he said.
“We are a frontline province fighting terrorism. Our people are continuously making sacrifices, and these sacrifices should be valued. Our people are sacrificing their lives here, which is why there is peace in the other provinces and Islamabad.
We are fighting terrorism on the frontline, which is why there is peace in the rest of Pakistan. Therefore, these sacrifices should be appreciated.”
Afridi said every word of the statement had reopened their wounds and desecrated the memory of their martyrs.
“To directly disregard our sacrifices is, in my view, foolish,” he said.
Referring to a statement by the “fake chief minister of the largest province” that she faced no threat from India but from the other three provinces, he said those provinces were patriotic Pakistanis.
“They sacrificed for Pakistan, are sacrificing and, God willing, will always continue to do so, because this is our Pakistan,” he said.
He vowed that they would always foil any conspiracy, by anyone, aimed at creating division, prejudice and hatred among the people.
“God willing, Pakistan will always remain alive and continue to endure, and our sacrifices will always remain for Pakistan,” he added.
