DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Sep, 2026) The Traffic Police have launched an awareness campaign to promote compliance with traffic laws and road safety among students, drivers, and the general public.
As part of the campaign, awareness lectures were held at Government High school No. 4 and Islamia School No.
2, where students were briefed on traffic rules, safe driving practices and road safety principles.
The Traffic police officials also highlighted the risks associated with underage driving, use of mobile phones while driving, one-wheeling, motorcycle stunts, pressure horns, and unnecessary LED lights. The students were also informed about the role of Safe City cameras in monitoring traffic violations.
Later, the Traffic Police team visited the Bannu Adda General Bus Stand and briefed drivers on compliance with traffic rules, observing speed limits, avoiding overloading and refraining from charging fares above the prescribed rates.
The campaign aims to raise awareness, particularly among students and drivers, about responsible road behaviour and the importance of ensuring safe travel, officials said.
