Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said cowardly acts of terrorism cannot dampen the nation’s resolve, adding that the public and security forces remain united against terrorism and will continue efforts to restore peace.
PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi has taken notice of the blast at Kohat Old Police Lines, strongly condemned the incident and sought a detailed report from police officials.
In his statement, Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi said the cowardly terrorist incident was extremely tragic and unacceptable.
He condemned targeting innocent citizens and police personnel. He directed the relevant authorities to review all aspects of the blast and submit a complete and detailed report.
He also instructed authorities to use all available resources to provide immediate and the best possible medical treatment to the injured.
The Chief Minister ordered that all necessary medical facilities, including prompt treatment for the injured, be ensured at hospitals in Kohat.
Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi further directed that immediate arrangements be made to shift critically injured people to other hospitals, where necessary, so they could receive timely medical care.
The Chief Minister said such cowardly acts of terrorism could not dampen the nation’s resolve.
The public and security forces are united against terrorism and will continue their efforts to establish law and order.
He said the sacrifices of security institutions for establishing peace in the province were commendable, and all relevant institutions must continue taking measures under effective coordination and strategy to eliminate terrorism.
The Chief Minister prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident and directed the relevant authorities to provide every possible assistance to the victims and injured people.
