The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief secretary has issued a letter to provincial officials in light of Islamabad High Court orders, warning of action for violations.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Sep, 2026) In light of Islamabad High Court orders, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued directives banning the use of government officials and resources in connection with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) march towards Islamabad.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary directed all relevant officials to ensure full compliance with the court orders, saying that if any official is asked to participate in the march, the matter must immediately be brought to the attention of the chief secretary or the inspector general of police.
An office memorandum issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief secretary said no government official would assist or facilitate any march, rally or procession towards Islamabad.
According to the directives, permission would not be granted for any march or rally that could affect freedom of movement in Islamabad, commercial and business activities, access to educational institutions or access to medical facilities.
The directives further stated that government vehicles, machinery, equipment, public funds or other official resources could not be used for any march or rally.
Departmental action would be taken against any government official who violated the court orders.
The memorandum also provided helpline 091-9210068 for reporting any obstruction or incident.
