In a press conference, the Interior Minister said that if anyone fired a bullet, they would not remain silent, directing the forces to stop the long march by every means and holding the organizers responsible for any loss of life.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Sep, 2026) Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said there was no justification for storming the federal capital or any other province after the Islamabad High Court’s verdict.
He issued clear instructions to all law enforcement agencies, saying measures would be taken to stop the long march by every means.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad alongside Talal Chaudhry and others, Mohsin Naqvi said anyone attempting to take to the streets in violation of the court’s verdict would also face contempt of court proceedings.
He said all law enforcement agencies would work together.
Regarding security personnel, the interior minister said the youth had been clearly told that if anyone opened fire, they would not remain silent.
All necessary measures would be taken to maintain law and order.
Mohsin Naqvi further said that if any loss of life occurred, the organizers gathering people for the protest would be held responsible.
