Experts advise users not to keep mobile data enabled at all times.
Mobile data remains active on many people’s phones, keeping the device connected to cellular signals even when Wi-Fi is being used.
When this setting is enabled, the phone immediately switches to cellular connectivity whenever Wi-Fi is turned off or the user moves away from Wi-Fi signals.
However, this also means the phone continuously consumes battery power to keep the feature active.
Disabling mobile data can help prevent the phone from using additional battery power. The only drawback is that when users leave a Wi-Fi zone, it takes 10 seconds for the phone to connect to the cellular network after mobile data is enabled.
