JHELUM, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Sep, 2026) A father in Jhelum threw his three children into the Mangla Canal after becoming frustrated with domestic disputes, police said. The bodies of two girls have been recovered, while the search for one child is continuing.
Police said the suspect went to a police station to surrender after throwing the children into the canal.
A rescue operation was launched in the Mangla Canal based on information provided by the suspect.
According to police, the father threw his three children into the Mangla Canal from Lehri Bridge late at night. The suspect told police that he threw the children into the canal after becoming fed up with domestic disputes.
