Maryam Nawaz paid the amount from her personal account, while a private TV channel claimed to have obtained a copy of the cheque.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Sep, 2026) Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has paid the cost of her travel to the United Kingdom on a government aircraft. A private tv channel, citing sources, reported that Maryam Nawaz paid Rs27,194,004 to the Punjab government.
The channel said it had obtained a copy of the cheque, which showed that Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz paid the amount from her personal account. It may be recalled that the use of a government aircraft by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for a visit to London had come to light. Following the matter, the chief minister had said she would personally pay the expenses of the private trip.
