Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry commented that the bank stamp dated September 18 appears on receipts issued on September 17, comparing them to the alleged fake Qatari letter in the Avenfield case.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Sep, 2026) The payment has been made for the millions of rupees spent on Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s private trip to London on the provincial government’s luxury Gulfstream aircraft, but the official challan and bank receipts have taken the matter in a dramatic new direction after appearing in the media.
According to details, the Punjab government released official receipts and a bank challan showing that Rs 27,194,004 had been deposited into the government treasury on behalf of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, apparently to bring the political controversy to an end.
However, as soon as the documents came to light, social media users focused on an unusual and surprising error.
The documents and receipts provided to the media show that the bank challan lists September 17, 2026, as the date on which the amount was deposited, while the clearance stamp affixed by the bank administration bears September 18, 2026—the following day.
The sun had not even risen on September 18, yet the bank stamp had apparently confirmed the clearance a day earlier.
Commenting on this unusual, “time-ahead” action, former Federal minister Fawad Chaudhry wrote in a post on the social media platform X: “By the way, today is September 17, but the bank stamp is dated September 18.
Just as there was a fake Qatari letter in Avenfield, these payment receipts are also a Qatari letter.”
