RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Sep, 2026) The Punjab government has invited applications from eligible artists across the province under the Artist Support Fund 2026-27 to acknowledge their services and provide social and financial support.
According to a letter issued by the Punjab Information and Culture Department, artists having at least 25 years of experience in their respective fields and a personal monthly income of less than Rs40,000 are eligible to apply.
Male artists must be at least 50 years of age, while female artists must be at least 45 years old.
However, there will be no age or experience restriction for artists with disabilities.
Artists associated with film, television, radio, theatre, music, dance, painting, calligraphy and sculpture can apply. Eligible technical professionals, including editors, sound recorders, light men, cameramen and makeup artists, can also submit applications.
Eligible artists may submit their applications to the office of the concerned Divisional Director, Punjab Arts Council, by October 15, 2026.
The letter further stated that the list of existing eligible artists receiving monthly stipends under the financial year 2026-25 initiative would be considered cancelled.
Only those artists who reapply under the prescribed procedure for the financial year 2026-27 and fulfil the eligibility criteria and conditions will be considered eligible for the stipend or financial assistance.
