Five air routes in the Lahore Flight Information Region will remain temporarily closed, a spokesperson said.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Sep, 2026) The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has issued a new NOTAM announcing the temporary closure of certain air routes in Lahore’s airspace for operational reasons.
According to the NOTAM, five air routes in the Lahore Flight Information Region will remain temporarily closed, including routes from Jhang to Sajjan and Regat to Dera Ismail Khan, among others.
The routes will be closed on September 17 and 18 from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. The spokesperson said the air routes would be unavailable to all flights from the ground up to an unspecified altitude.
However, alternative air routes will be available for two-way flights for the convenience of passengers and airlines. Flights arriving in and departing from Dera Ismail Khan will be required to contact Air Traffic Control (ATC). The Airports Authority said the closure was being carried out entirely for operational reasons.
