KOHAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th Sep, 2026) MPA and District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC) Chairman Daud Shah Afridi on Wednesday ordered an inspection of the ongoing construction work on Sumari Road here following a public complaint about the quality of the project.
Afridi inspected the project along with the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance) and a monitoring team and examined the quality of construction, materials being used and progress of work.
He sought a detailed briefing from the officials concerned regarding compliance with approved standards and specifications and directed them to ensure transparency and quality in the project.
The MPA said development schemes funded with public money must meet the prescribed standards and warned that substandard work would not be tolerated.
He directed the authorities to take action if any violation was established during the inspection.
“I do not indulge in corruption and will not allow anyone else to do so,” Afridi said, directing officials and contractors to maintain transparency and adhere to approved standards.
He said complaints about development projects should be properly investigated through on-site inspections and directed the authorities to proceed against those found responsible for negligence, poor workmanship or other irregularities.
