I Challenge You To Remove Sohail Afridi; We Will Re-Elect Him Chief Minister The Next Day

When Sohail Afridi was previously becoming chief minister, establishment touts spread various claims, but we made him chief minister, said Junaid Akbar, challenging his opponents.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th Sep, 2026) PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar said, “I challenge you to remove Sohail Afridi; we will make him chief minister again the next day.” He said that when Sohail Afridi was previously becoming chief minister, establishment touts had also been spreading various claims.

Speaking on Express news’ programme, he said that when Sohail Afridi was becoming chief minister, his words were on record: “Let anyone with the courage stop Sohail Afridi from becoming chief minister.” He said that at the time of the budget, it was claimed that there were 30 people, and establishment touts were making such claims, but everyone ultimately voted, as was witnessed.

Junaid Akbar said, “I challenge you to remove Sohail Afridi; we will make him chief minister again the next day.” He said that when Sohail Afridi was previously becoming chief minister, touts had spread various claims, but he had stated that those with the courage should stop him—and they then made Sohail Afridi chief minister.

Junaid Akbar Khan further asked under which law Nawaz Sharif was allowed to travel from prison to Britain and his bail was approved at the airport itself.

He said that, in the current period, after Justice Aminuddin’s court took the case of PTI founder Imran Khan before it, he believed the Supreme Court should perhaps open a herbal medicine shop.

He said that in the case of Chitral MNA Abdul Latif, all the other individuals had been acquitted, but his case had not been fixed for hearing for one and a half years, clearly showing how PTI cases were being treated.

Calling the debate over new administrative units and provinces a deception of intentions, he said the real objective was not to create empowered units but to strengthen the Federal government’s control over provincial resources under the NFC Award.

He said Mohsin Naqvi claimed that the system could not function without smaller units, but on the other hand, the situation regarding powers is such that they want to retain the cricket board, the Interior Ministry and the Foreign Ministry—all with themselves.

The PTI leader said Islamabad’s area and population were very limited, but asked whether the problems of even one hospital and the schools there had been resolved.
