ATTOCK, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th Sep, 2026) Attock police have arrested five suspects in separate operations against drug trafficking and illegal weapons, recovering 1,860 grams of hashish, liquor, illegal firearms and ammunition.
According to police, Assistant Sub-Inspector Naeem Ahmed of Pindigheb Police Station, along with his team, intercepted and searched Zafar Iqbal, son of Yar Muhammad and a resident of Pindigheb, during checking and recovered 1,320 grams of hashish from his possession.
In a separate operation, Assistant Sub-Inspector Aqil Rais of Bahter Police Station, along with his team, arrested Syed Hashim Shah, son of Syed Chan Pir Shah, a resident of Gakkhar in Fateh Jang tehsil.
Police recovered 540 grams of hashish and an illegal 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from his possession.
Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Tariq Mahmood of Fateh Jang Police Station, accompanied by his team, arrested Muhammad Naseer Khan, son of Muhammad Ameer Khan, a resident of Gagan in Fateh Jang tehsil. Police recovered an illegal 12-bore rifle, a 9mm pistol with ammunition and two bottles of liquor from him.
Separately, Sub-Inspector Hamid Naeem of Attock Khurd Police Station, along with his team, arrested two residents of Hazro, identified as Ahsan Ali, son of Tariq Ali, and Hammad Ali, son of Bashir Ahmed. An illegal 30-bore pistol was recovered from them.
Police said cases have been registered against the arrested suspects and further legal proceedings are underway.
