“They ignored him on the footpath yesterday and made him leave his chair today; he is a guest, and should not be treated this way.” Punjab Information and Culture Minister
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th Sep, 2026) Punjab Information and Culture Minister Uzma Bukhari responded on social media platform X to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister’s visit to Lahore and also posted a video showing public reaction.
“Lahore residents, we had to see this day too—this is regrettable,” Uzma Bukhari said.
The Punjab information minister said, “He was ignored on the footpath yesterday and made to leave his chair today.
He is a guest, and should not be treated this way.” She said people were saying, “You are liars,” while guards pushed them back, and the person concerned turned his face away while pretending to be innocent.
“Feel it a little; it is happening everywhere today,” she said.
Uzma Bukhari added, “God forbid, these are the same people whom the public did not even turn around to look at.” She also asked why people were hiding their belongings from them.
Uzma Bukhari posted another video on X about the street movement and public support.
“Please show me anyone other than the police, guards and YouTubers,” the Punjab information minister said.
Uzma Bukhari said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister’s street movement lacked public support.
“It is my job to show you the reality; you can decide for yourselves,” she said.
She said viewers could decide for themselves what the public turnout in the video looked like at 8:23 p.m. The Punjab information minister said there were no people in the street movement and that traffic was being stopped to record videos so as to create the impression of a larger crowd.
