ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th Sep, 2026) PTI Member of the National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat has said that those taunting him over his resignation should submit their own resignations first.
He said he had personally led the election campaigns of all these people. According to X, he said during a conversation that those taunting him over his resignation should first submit their own resignations.
“I ran the election campaigns of all of them. Those who could not even hold corner meetings in their constituencies—I visited all their Constituencies and personally led their campaigns. At that time, there was an atmosphere of fear and pressure.
If I had not stepped into the field, perhaps the party’s very existence would have been at risk.”
Sher Afzal Marwat said Chief Minister Sohail Afridi should answer Imran Khan’s questions before questioning him.
He said Imran Khan’s clear stance was that drone attacks should not take place in the province and that cases should be registered against them if such incidents occurred. Imran Khan had also said that no new operation should be allowed, but, contrary to this, funds were formally allocated for operations.
“Khan sahib said that even if the government goes, you must resist the unconstitutional actions of the Federal government and the establishment.”
Sher Afzal Marwat said that even today, under their own government, Murad Saeed’s secretary had been abducted.
He said the election had been stolen in Haripur while their own government was in power. “Chief Minister sahib, tell us what success you have achieved. Eleven months have passed, and the public is still being led on a wild-goose chase. There is no visible practical progress toward Imran Khan’s release and freedom.”
