LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th Sep, 2026) Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi has alleged that Punjab Police kidnapped him and then dumped him on the road. Speaking to PTI workers at Lahore’s Lakshmi Chowk, Sohail Afridi said, “They kidnapped me and then dumped me here on the road.
The fake Punjab government and Punjab Police did this.”
Sohail Afridi said, “They will try to provoke you, but you must not create unrest and should remain peaceful.”
Earlier, Sohail Afridi climbed onto a police van at Lahore’s Mall Road, Regal Chowk.
He said that he was not troubling anyone and that he was being harassed.
Sohail Afridi said his workers should be released first, after which he would move forward.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan alleged that Punjab Police put Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in a vehicle and abandoned him in an isolated area.
He said the humiliation of the elected chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
On the other hand, Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari shared a video of Sohail Afridi near the van.
Uzma Bukhari said, “Watch another drama: Sohail Afridi himself went and sat in the police van. The police officers kept asking him to get out, while Sohail Afridi even scolded his guard and moved him aside for blocking the view of his drama.”
