Sohail Afridi told police he would not leave the vehicle until his workers were released, the chief minister said.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th Sep, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi sat in a police van to secure the release of his workers and told police that he would not get out of the vehicle until they were released.
Speaking to UrduPoint, PTI leader Shaukat Basra said police had detained the Lahore leadership and arrested hundreds of their people. He said they were heading towards Liberty when police set up checkpoints and arrested their people. Sohail Afridi announced that they would not leave until their leadership and workers were released.
