SANGHAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th Sep, 2026) Former Sindh provincial minister and Pakistan Peoples Party leader Ali Hassan Chahnyo was allegedly abducted from his residence in Khipro by armed men.
According to eyewitnesses, the armed men arrived in two vehicles, entered the house, assaulted Ali Hassan Chahnyo’s security guards and locked them in a room before taking him away.
Following news of the incident, hundreds of people gathered outside Haji Ali Hassan’s residence.
Sanghar SSP said police had received information about the incident and added that it appeared to involve a financial dispute. He said further investigation had been launched.
Meanwhile, PPP Member of the National Assembly Shazia Marri expressed serious concern over the broad-daylight abduction of former provincial minister Hassan Ali Chahnyo from Khipro.
She contacted the administration for his safe recovery, expressed solidarity with the family and directed police to ensure his recovery.
