In this regard, journalist Majid Nizami questioned on the social media platform in what constitutional, legal or official capacity Azaan Jabbar—then the future and now the son-in-law of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif—was seated in the front row at the important government ceremony.
Criticizing the government protocol, he wrote: Is being Maryam Nawaz’s son-in-law such an important qualification that he should be placed alongside the President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman Senate, Speaker of the National Assembly, Federal cabinet, Chief of Army Staff, Air Chief Marshal, Chief of Naval Staff and Commander Strategic Command?
