Shehbaz Sharif said Houthi actions could disrupt the global economy and energy supplies.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th Sep, 2026) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a telephone conversation during which the prime minister condemned Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif condemned the targeting of Saudi Arabia’s civilian and economic infrastructure and expressed complete solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people.
The prime minister said that Houthi actions posed a threat to regional peace and security and could disrupt the global economy and energy supplies.
He said that, along with Field Marshal Asim Munir and the deputy prime minister, he would continue efforts to reduce tensions and establish peace in the region.
The prime minister praised the Saudi crown prince for his wise and farsighted leadership during the current crisis and conveyed his best wishes to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
According to the statement, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also appreciated Pakistan’s continued and steadfast support for Saudi Arabia, as well as its efforts for peace and stability in the region.
The two leaders agreed to maintain close contact and expressed a desire to meet soon.
