Motorcycle, rickshaw, Qingqi and vehicles up to 800cc will receive Rs100 per litre petrol relief, with registration procedures being outlined with the provinces, the prime minister said.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th Sep, 2026) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to launch a special scheme providing Rs100 relief per litre of petrol.
In a statement, the prime minister said he fully understood the burden imposed on the public by rising oil prices.
He said a special scheme was being launched for motorcycles, rickshaws, Qingqis and small cars.
Shehbaz Sharif said motorcycle, rickshaw, Qingqi and vehicles up to 800cc would receive Rs100 relief per litre of petrol.
He said owners of vehicles up to 800cc would receive the relief on 30 litres of petrol per month.
The prime minister said the petrol relief would be implemented within the limits of the Federal capital Islamabad during the night between next Monday and Tuesday.
He said the relief would be implemented across Pakistan, including Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, during the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
Shehbaz Sharif said registration for the special relief scheme had begun today, and the relief mechanism would be conveyed to the public through an awareness campaign.
He thanked the provinces for providing information on motorcycles, rickshaws and small cars for registration in the scheme.
