ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th Sep, 2026) The Ministry of Information Technology (IT) has issued the procedure for obtaining Rs100 relief per litre on petrol.
The IT Ministry outlined a special scheme for motorcycles, rickshaws, Qingqi vehicles and small cars, urging citizens to register.
According to the ministry, citizens must send “REG” along with their CNIC number to 9771 and provide their vehicle number, provincial code and registration date.
The ministry said applicants must send “TOK” to 9771 to obtain a fuel token.
Discounted petrol can be obtained by presenting the fuel token.
Relief will begin in Islamabad from the night between Monday and Tuesday, while residents of other areas will receive the relief from the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
According to the IT Ministry, eligible citizens will receive a discount of Rs100 per litre on petrol.
The monthly limit for discounted petrol is 20 litres for motorcycles and Qingqi vehicles, and 30 litres for vehicles with engines up to 800cc.
