Due to gas shortages, residents say they are being forced to buy LPG at up to Rs500 per kilogram, and they urge the government to ensure uninterrupted gas supplies.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th Sep, 2026) Gas load shedding and rising LPG prices have added to the difficulties faced by domestic consumers in Lahore. Gas outages have left residents unable to use their stoves, while purchasing expensive LPG has also become difficult for ordinary citizens.
Residents said that the unavailability of gas had forced them to buy LPG; however, it is being sold in the open market for Rs400 to Rs500 per kilogram.
Consumers said that gas load shedding had disrupted their daily lives, while expensive LPG had further burdened household budgets.
The citizens demanded that uninterrupted gas supplies be ensured and effective measures be taken to reduce LPG prices.
