KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th Sep, 2026) Sindh Assembly parliamentary leader Muhammad Shabbir Qureshi faced difficulty reading an English resolution presented to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, while a video of the incident went viral on social media.
According to media reports, Muhammad Shabbir Qureshi, an MPA elected from Karachi’s Keamari, presented the resolution in English.
When he read out its text, he struggled with the language, prompting members seated in the assembly to laugh at his English.
However, he eventually managed to read the resolution.
A resolution paying tribute to Quaid-e-Azam was subsequently passed by the Sindh Assembly. Members supporting the PPP, MQM-Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami and PTI presented the resolution. It highlighted Pakistan’s struggle under Quaid-e-Azam’s historic leadership and paid tribute to his efforts for the establishment of Pakistan.
