Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan challenges Rana Sanaullah, saying they will arrive on September 27 and asking anyone with the courage to try to stop them.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan has said that Rana Sanaullah sees May 9 in every political struggle. He said people think according to their mindset, adding that those claiming another May 9 is being prepared have a Model Town and Muridke mindset.
They should first account for their own past before pointing fingers at others.
Speaking in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, he said that if anyone wanted to open fire on September 27, they should do so, and if anyone wanted to disqualify them, they should go ahead.
“We will confront them under all circumstances. Our struggle for Imran Khan’s unjust imprisonment and the constitutional and democratic rights of the people will continue, and the September 27 Islamabad march will take place, God willing,” he said.
He said these people were repeating their own history.
On the one hand, they accuse them of having links with proscribed organisations, while on the other hand, they themselves ask proscribed organisations not to carry out operations in Punjab.
The nation needs to understand this hypocrisy and contradiction.
He said India attacked Pakistan in May, and Pakistan’s courageous and comprehensive response had become part of history.
However, he regretted that during the Battle of Truth, Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif did not say even a single word against Narendra Modi. Those repeating their history should remember their own past.
He said that when an operation against terrorism was under way in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, then Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had ordered that Pakhtun citizens not be allowed to enter Punjab at the border.
This was also part of the same history.
He said they did not want to engage in the debate of dividing Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan in the name of terrorism, as everyone was Pakistani.
However, he urged people to examine the history of where political leaders and workers had faced attacks, arrests and political imprisonment. He said political prisoners were still in Punjab’s jails and Imran Khan was unjustly imprisoned in Adiala Jail.
He said Maryam Nawaz had rubbed salt into the nation’s wounds by absolving Modi of responsibility.
Saying that Punjab faced a threat not from the neighbouring country but from neighbouring provinces amounted not only to giving enemy India a clean chit, but also openly contradicted the Pakistan Army’s four-year position and the national narrative against Indian aggression.
If there was no threat from the enemy, he asked, who was responsible for Modi’s aggression and conspiracies against Pakistan? Targeting one’s own provinces was the height of political prejudice, he said.
He said the nation remembered everything from Dawn Leaks and Memogate to the latest statement.
Indian media had been continuously propagating Maryam Nawaz’s statement for a week. Every tactic was being used against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers and political opponents in Punjab, but not a single word was spoken against Modi.
Ignoring the enemy and declaring one’s own provinces a threat was political prejudice, he said.
He said Rana Sanaullah saw May 9 in every political struggle and claimed that another May 9 was being prepared.
“A person thinks according to his mindset; their mindset is that of Model Town and Muridke,” he said. He added that allegations had previously emerged regarding Rana Sanaullah’s electoral links with proscribed organisations and their workers, based on the same institutions whose evidence he was citing today.
“First account for your own past, then point fingers at others,” he said.
He said they would come from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 27 and challenged their opponents to stop them if they could.
“We have already told those saying Attock is a red line that no red line can stop the people’s struggle. Rana Sanaullah, listen carefully: we will come from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 27. If anyone has the courage, let them try to stop us,” he said.
