Dera Ismail Khan, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Peharpur has launched a plantation and cleanliness drive to enhance the beauty of the town and provide citizens with a clean, green, and healthy environment.
The plantation activity was organised at Family Park Peharpur under the special supervision of Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Peharpur, Attaullah.
He participated in the activity and planted saplings at the park, while students also took part enthusiastically in the plantation campaign.
A similar plantation activity has also been initiated at Milad Park, where saplings are being planted to increase the green cover and improve the overall appearance of the recreational facility.
Speaking on the occasion, TMO Attaullah said that promotion of a clean and green environment was among the key priorities of the TMA, adding that plantation activities were being carried out at public parks and other suitable locations to make Peharpur more attractive and environmentally friendly.
He said the parks were important public spaces for families, children and young people and therefore special attention was being given to their cleanliness, maintenance and beautification.
He further said that the plantation drive would not be limited to planting saplings, as efforts would also be made to ensure their proper care and protection so that they could grow into healthy trees and contribute to a better environment.
The TMO said that the active participation of students in plantation activities was particularly encouraging, as it would help create environmental awareness among the younger generation and encourage them to play their role in keeping their surroundings clean and green.
Alongside plantation activities, the TMA Peharpur has also intensified cleanliness operations across the town. Sanitation staff are engaged in improving cleanliness at public places, streets and other important areas, while the performance of the sanitation teams and overall cleanliness situation is being monitored under the supervision of TMO Attaullah.
TMA officials said that cleanliness was not merely a matter of beautification but was essential for maintaining a healthy and pleasant urban environment. Regular sanitation activities and improvement of public spaces would help provide citizens with better living conditions, they added.
The TMA has also urged citizens to cooperate with the sanitation staff, avoid littering in public places and parks, and play their part in maintaining cleanliness and protecting newly planted saplings.
TMO Attaullah said that the TMA would continue practical measures for cleanliness, plantation, and beautification in Peharpur, adding that collective efforts by the administration, students, civil society, and citizens were essential for developing a clean, green, and beautiful town.
The TMA’s ongoing initiatives reflect its commitment to improving municipal services and transforming public spaces into cleaner, greener and more pleasant places for residents and visitors.
