The opposition leader has replied to the prime minister’s letter and requested a date and time for consultations.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) Consultations between the government and the opposition have begun over the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner and two members.
A key opposition meeting was held in Opposition Leader Raja Nasir Abbas’s chamber, attended by Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Barrister Gohar and Salman Akram Raja.
The meeting held detailed discussions on the September 27 protest and directed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to make full preparations for the event.
It was decided to contact all political parties and convene an All Parties Conference (APC) over the country’s deteriorating situation. A meeting of the Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Aain will be held on September 15 to review preparations for the APC.
According to sources, the opposition leader has replied to the prime minister’s letter and requested a date and time for consultations. Opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai responded to the letter after consultations with opposition leaders.
