DC Reviews Performance Of Departments, Ongoing Development Projects:


SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry on Friday directed heads of all departments to adopt coordinated strategies and ensure effective implementation of the Punjab government’s public welfare initiatives to deliver their benefits to citizens.

He issued the directions while chairing a high-level review meeting held to assess the performance of various departments and progress on ongoing projects, including Suthra Punjab, Punjab Development Programme (PDP), health, education, plantation and own-source revenue initiatives.

The Deputy Commissioner directed officials to improve performance in accordance with prescribed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure timely completion of ongoing development projects.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Muhammad Atif Sindhu briefed the meeting on the Suthra Punjab programme, including sanitation operations, KPIs, field activities, revenue and waste management.

The DC directed continuous monitoring of cleanliness, waste collection and identified hotspots in the field.

The Managing Director WASA Muhammad Abubakar Imran gave a detailed briefing on progress of ongoing WASA projects under the Punjab Development Programme, completed works and the future plan.

The DC directed officials to ensure quality and speed of work.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner Social Services Muhammad Arshad Wattoo briefed the meeting on price control measures and action against illegal sale of petroleum products and LPG, besides public relief initiatives.

He also briefed the meeting on child protection, plantation, social welfare, anti-begging and anti-encroachment measures.

The CEO Health Dr Kashif Nabeel briefed the meeting on health-related KPIs, while the CEO Education Azhar Sohail Niazi gave an overview of ongoing reforms and educational facilities in government schools.

The DC directed officials to achieve health targets, improve service delivery at hospitals and health centres, and further strengthen measures for improving educational standards and facilities in government schools.

The Deputy Director Development briefed the meeting on ongoing and completed projects under own-source revenue, various development schemes and their progress.

The meeting reviewed timely completion of development projects, effective utilisation of funds and prioritisation of schemes of public importance.

The DC directed all officers to ensure effective monitoring of government initiatives as well as tangible results in the field.

He stressed interdepartmental coordination and directed officials to ensure that all government targets and KPIs were fully achieved.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Muhammad Atif Sindhu, Additional Deputy Commissioner Social Services Muhammad Arshad Wattoo, MD WASA Muhammad Abubakar Imran, CEO Health, CEO Education, Deputy Director Development and other relevant officers.
