Chief Minister Sohail Afridi directed workers not to rely on plans being shared on social media, saying the protest turnout would be beyond imagination.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that Rana Sanaullah accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of wanting to bring terrorists along, but stressed that PTI is a peaceful party.
Addressing parliamentary representatives and ticket holders from Punjab at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House regarding the Punjab Street Movement, Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi said the meeting was aimed at planning the movement in Punjab.
He asked representatives from all regions of Punjab to consult for one hour and identify where they wanted him to go, assuring them that he would join the movement wherever they took him.
He said the entire country was relying on the parliamentarians and that the issue was not limited to Punjab.
He alleged that their mandate had been stolen and that they had been imposed on by “friends of Modi.” He further alleged that Punjab’s “fake chief minister” had insulted Pakistan’s state narrative and disgraced the country internationally by saying she faced no threat from India but from her own provinces.
He referred to the Dawn Leaks controversy, saying Indian media had presented her statement as evidence that the Pakistani state lied while she told the truth.
Afridi said sustenance, honour, disgrace, life and death were in Allah’s hands and urged people to overcome fear.
Referring to Hazrat Khalid bin Walid, he said that if life had been in a person’s hands, he would never have died in bed.
Responding to Rana Sanaullah’s allegation that PTI wanted to bring terrorists, Afridi said PTI was a peaceful political party.
He said the party had not even broken a flowerpot during its 126-day sit-in and had never carried out any illegal or unconstitutional act since 1996. He said Imran Khan had taught them to struggle within the framework of the Constitution and law, and that they would carry out a peaceful political struggle on September 27, as permitted by the Constitution.
He warned that if those elements tried to play a game like November 26, his message was that if bullets were to be fired, the first bullet should hit Sohail Afridi, and if a bullet was fired at any worker other than him, he would make your life forbidden.
Afridi alleged that the PML-N had always treated Pakistanis as enemies and Indians as friends.
He said Modi had visited their homes without a visa and that they had businesses and friendships in India.
Regarding plans being shown on social media, Afridi said their plan would be disclosed one week in advance and that people could continue saying whatever they wanted until then.
He urged workers not to be distracted, saying the complete plan would be shared with them a week earlier. He said the people of Punjab were waiting for them, adding that they were not merely a few hundred but 130 million people who were going to change the destiny of the 250 million citizens of Pakistan, and that they only needed to show a little courage.
He said so many people would come out on September 27 that it was unimaginable.
He urged workers not to fear prison, saying none of them was more valuable than Dr Yasmin Rashid, whom he described as the most valuable of all and an elderly cancer patient. He added that if she could endure imprisonment, their going to jail would not be a major issue.
