Rana Sanaullah asks PTI to guarantee they will stay peaceful and will not attack government property, and to explain the purpose of their march toward Islamabad.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) Prime Minister‘s Adviser Senator Rana Sanaullah has said that a guarantee should be given that no armed persons will participate in the September 27 protest and that no one will attack the Red Zone or government property.
Speaking on Sama news, he said, “I say from the heart that Junaid Akbar is not a terrorist, even if 100 cases are registered against him.” He said Junaid Akbar should answer two questions: whether there would be a procession or a group on September 27, and whether there would be no armed people in it.
Could he give a guarantee that they would not attack the Red Zone or government property? What is the purpose of marching toward Islamabad?
PTI leader Junaid Akbar said in the programme that Rana Sanaullah was a political worker and that they respected him, but he had not made the statement about armed groups sincerely.
He said he wanted to ask whether these were the same reports that had claimed Rana Sanaullah was linked to a drug mafia with a large network and that heroin had been planted in his vehicle.
He said such reports had previously emerged against Rana Sanaullah and a similar report was now coming out.
Junaid Akbar, president of PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said, “I guarantee the government that none of us will have weapons on September 27.” He said 35 terrorism FIRs had been registered against him and asked, “Who could be a bigger terrorist than me?” Speaking on Sama News, he repeated that Rana Sanaullah was a political worker whom they respected, but that he had not made the statement about armed groups sincerely.
He again questioned whether the allegations about Rana Sanaullah‘s alleged links to a drug mafia and heroin being planted in his vehicle were based on the same reports.
Junaid Akbar said he had been elected as a member of the assembly for the third time after receiving 114,000 votes.
He said no leader greater than Imran Khan had emerged and that there were hundreds of terrorism FIRs against him. He added that there was not a single elected person in Parliament against whom a terrorism FIR had not been registered.
Arrest warrants, he said, were a routine matter; “we are all terrorists,” while terrorism cases had been registered against their workers. Junaid Akbar said that they had been subjected to injustice on May 9 and that the government should investigate how the glass was broken when Imran Khan came to court.
