LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) A key meeting on preparations for the CM Punjab Youth Games was held under the chairmanship of Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi.
Officials from the school education, Higher Education, Special Education, Home, Literacy and other departments, the Punjab Information Technology Board, and educational boards attended the meeting.
All divisional and district sports officers across Punjab also participated online. Director Administration Abid Shaukat and Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmad were also present.
The meeting was briefed by various departments on registration and preparations for the CM Punjab Youth Games, while Punjab Information Technology board officials briefed participants on the registration procedure.
Addressing the meeting, Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said the CM Punjab Youth Games were a major world-class sports event organized by the Punjab government.
He said the event aimed to provide young people with maximum opportunities to participate in sports and bring forward new talent from the grassroots level. Registration for the CM Punjab Youth Games will continue until 25th Sep.
DG Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said competitions in various games would be held at the madrassa, special persons, union council, tehsil, district, divisional and Punjab levels.
He said 5 million athletes would participate in the CM Punjab Youth Games, while thousands of new players would emerge from the grassroots through the event. Competitions in 19 games would be held at the university level. The mega event is being organized through cooperation among various Punjab government departments and institutions.
