9-Year-Old Girl Killed In Green Bus Crash In Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) A 9-year-old girl, Ayesha, was killed on the spot when a Punjab government Green Bus struck the motorcycle carrying her and her father near Munawar Colony on the densely populated Adiala Road.

According to reports, Ayesha was returning home from school with her father on a motorcycle after school ended when a speeding Green Bus hit them forcefully.

The girl fell from the motorcycle, and the bus wheel ran over her head, killing her instantly.

It was reported that the driver of the bus involved in the accident abandoned the vehicle and fled.

After the crash, the heartbreaking scene of the father clinging to his daughter’s body, mourning and calling out to her, left people in tears. news of the accident sparked widespread grief and anger in the area, prompting a large number of citizens to take to Adiala Road.

It was learned that angry protesters pelted Punjab Green Buses with stones and attempted to set fire to the bus involved in the accident.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a heavy police contingent reached the scene, surrounded the area and detained several protesters.

Citizens said that although the Punjab government‘s Green Bus Service provides transportation facilities, the buses are continuously disrupting traffic on the densely populated and narrow roads of the inner city and are now causing fatal accidents.

They called for designated routes and separate lanes for the buses to be arranged immediately so that no innocent person loses their life in the future.
