DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Sep, 2026) Dubai Airports authorities have introduced an unprecedented travel facility, ‘Click and Travel’, to facilitate passengers. Under the system, airport staff will complete all procedures for passengers’ arrival and departure without traditional counters, using mobile devices in just a few seconds.
According to Gulf media, Dubai Airport officials said that under the advanced ‘Click and Travel’ system, each passenger’s processing and travel-document verification will be completed in just 12 to 15 seconds.
Key technical features of the service include the use of facial recognition for passengers’ biometric and facial identification.
It has been reported that advanced handheld devices will be capable of scanning e-passports within seconds through electronic passport reading.
Securely connected systems will also enable the immediate transfer of data to government and security databases. As a result, citizens, residents and tourists arriving at or departing from Dubai Airport will no longer need to stand in long queues at traditional passport-control counters.
Airport staff will approach passengers and verify their details directly through passengers’ mobile devices, reducing waiting times to almost zero.
Dubai Airport authorities said the Primary purpose of the initiative is to streamline passenger movement at the airport, manage crowds and provide visitors from around the world with a secure, fast and modern travel experience.
The initiative is being described as a major step towards the vision of making Dubai Airports the world’s most digital and automated airport.
