QUETTA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Sep, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Meherullah Badini, chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development projects in the city and the establishment of a modern IT lab.
Hedirected all relevant departments to maintain close coordination, remove obstacles promptly, and submit regular progress reports to ensure smooth and timely completion of projects.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner (City) Quetta Amir Hamza, Executive Engineer (City), and other relevant officials. During the session, the Executive Engineer briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the current status of various projects, construction activities, challenges faced, and measures being taken to ensure timely completion.
Detailed discussions were held on improving urban facilities, infrastructure development, pace of construction work, quality standards, and timely completion of public-interest projects.
Badini directed officials to ensure regular monitoring of all projects to avoid unnecessary delays and achieve set targets within deadlines.
Special attention was given to the establishment of a modern IT lab, with the Deputy Commissioner stressing the importance of aligning it with contemporary digital requirements. He emphasized that information technology and modern digital facilities are indispensable in today’s era, and all necessary steps must be taken to make the lab fully functional and up to standard.
Mehrullah Badini underscored that development projects are vital for public welfare and urban improvement, and no compromise on quality will be tolerated. He instructed departments to accelerate the pace of work, strengthen monitoring mechanisms, and ensure construction meets prescribed standards.
