SANGHAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th Sep, 2026) A rally was held in Tando Adam on Sunday to mark Defence Day, with participants paying tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the 1965 war and expressing solidarity with the armed forces.
The rally, organised by NPCIHA Sindh, was led by the organisation’s provincial vice president, Mazhar Chandio. It started from Muhammadi Chowk and culminated at the Tando Adam Press Club. Gul Bahar Khaskheli, Sadaqat Qureshi, Daniyal Khilji and Janan Sindhi were among those who attended the rally along with a large number of office-bearers, workers and citizens.
Carrying national flags, the participants raised slogans in support of Pakistan and the armed forces as they marched through the city.
Addressing the rally and speaking to journalists, Mr Chandio, Mr Khaskheli and other leaders described Sept 6 as an important and unforgettable day in the country’s history.
They said the armed forces and the nation had demonstrated unity, resolve and courage in defending the country during the 1965 war.
The speakers paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans, saying their sacrifices were an enduring part of the national history and would continue to inspire future generations.
They stressed the need for national unity, discipline and patriotism to strengthen the country and safeguard its sovereignty and security.
The leaders said the nation and armed forces remained united and committed to defending Pakistan and promoting peace, stability and prosperity.
