FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th Sep, 2026) Security at all churches across the district has been placed on high alert on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain, with more than 1,100 police officers and personnel deployed to ensure the safety of worshippers and protect places of worship.
A police spokesman said here on Sunday that senior police officers were personally monitoring security arrangements in the field and conducting on-site inspections to ensure effective implementation of prescribed security protocols.
Comprehensive checking was being carried out through walk-through gates and metal detectors, while Safe City cameras were also being used for surveillance. Special patrols by Elite Force and Dolphin Force personnel were continuing around churches and adjoining areas to prevent any untoward incident, he added.
Meanwhile, CPO Tanveer Hussain said all available resources were being utilized to maintain peace and ensure the safety and security of citizens across the city.
He directed officers and personnel to remain vigilant, closely monitor their respective areas and ensure foolproof security arrangements at churches.
The CPO said Faisalabad police were committed to safeguarding the rights and security of minorities and would continue taking every possible measure to provide them with a safe and peaceful environment.
He said effective coordination, constant surveillance and a visible police presence around places of worship were essential to maintaining public confidence and ensuring peaceful religious activities.
He also urged citizens to remain vigilant, cooperate with security personnel and immediately report any suspicious activity to police to help maintain law and order in the district.
