ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) Pakistan Junior Women’s Hockey Team made an impressive start to their campaign at the Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2026, defeating Hong Kong China 2-0 in their opening match of the Challenger Pool in China on Friday.
Shariqa emerged as the star performer for Pakistan, scoring both goals to secure a comfortable victory for the national side.
She opened the scoring in the 34th minute with a field goal before adding her second in the 48th minute to put Pakistan firmly in control.
Pakistan displayed attacking intent throughout the match while maintaining disciplined defending and effective team coordination.
The national side successfully kept Hong Kong China from finding the net and completed the match with a clean sheet.
