ABBOTTABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) District Health Officer Abbottabad Dr. Shehzad Iqbal has emphasized the importance of effective budgeting, proper expenditure management and regular assessment of healthcare needs to improve the delivery of frontline health services.
He expressed these views during a visit to Rural Health Centre (RHC) Kala Pani, where he accompanied British High Commission Development Director Mr. Sam Waldock and Health Team Leader Dr. Bilal Zafar during their visit to the facility.
Dr. Shehzad Iqbal, accompanied by Dr. Iram Tahira, DHIS Coordinator, and Accountant Qadir, facilitated the visit and reviewed various administrative and financial matters concerning the health facility.
The delegation was briefed on the procedures for budget preparation at the district and health facility levels, including the factors considered in assessing requirements and managing expenditures.
Dr. Ehtisham gave a detailed briefing on the budget preparation process.
The delegation also visited different sections of RHC Kala Pani, including the labour room, medicine store and dental department. The team reviewed DHIS-2 registers and examined the procedures being followed for data recording.
The British High Commission delegation appreciated the overall condition of RHC Kala Pani and acknowledged the efforts of DHO Dr. Shehzad Iqbal and his team.
The visit concluded with the delegation expressing satisfaction with the healthcare facilities and administrative arrangements at the health center.
