MUZAFFARGARH, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd Sep, 2026) Police arrested a robber-cum-murderer who was allegedly involved in the killing of a constable in Karachi.
Police said here on Thursday, the accused, identified as Muhammad Yousuf, allegedly killed Constable Muhammad Yousuf in Karachi in July 2025 with the help of his three accomplices– Shukat, Zafar and a woman, Rukhsana.
Police said that the accused attempted to snatch the official weapon from the constable while he was performing duty in Karachi. When the constable resisted, the accused allegedly opened fire, killing him.
The accused subsequently fled Karachi and went into hiding in Muzaffargarh. Meanwhile, two of his male accomplices were killed in an encounter with Karachi police, while the female accomplice, Rukhsana, was arrested.
DPO Ghazanfar Ali Shah said the accused was also booked in the murder case of a local man, Nadeem. He allegedly suspected that Nadeem had informed Karachi police about his accomplices, resulting in their deaths.
Further investigation was underway, police said.
