LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd Sep, 2026) The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has issued fresh notices to television actor Momina Iqbal and MPA Saqib Chadhar following the emergence of new digital evidence in the harassment case, while a special investigation team has been constituted to conduct a fresh inquiry.
According to an NCCIA spokesperson on Thursday, the special team would be headed by an officer of the rank of deputy director and would examine the newly surfaced digital evidence, previous records and other relevant information pertaining to the case.
The team had been directed to complete the investigation within one month and submit its report to the Director General NCCIA, following which further legal action would be decided in light of the findings, the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson maintained that it would be premature to declare either party guilty or innocent until completion of the investigation.
The development comes after a court on Thursday disposed of the pre-arrest bail petitions of Saqib Chadhar and his wife as withdrawn after the new investigating officer informed the court that their arrest was not required at the present stage.
Momina Iqbal is scheduled to appear before the NCCIA on Sept 14, while Saqib Chadhar is scheduled to appear on Sept 11, according to the notices.
